In this episode, Editor-in-Chief, Gary Barg interviews Dr Rakesh Jain, Clinical Professor of Psychiatry at Texas Tech Health Sciences Center’s School of Medicine.  Dr. Jain is currently involved in multiple research projects studying the effects of medications on short-term and long-term treatment of depression, anxiety, pain and mood overlap disorders.  Dr. Jain will be talking about an important challenge that many family caregivers face:  Tardive Dyskinesia. Gary will also be talking with a couple, Matt and Shelly and their life dealing with Tardive Dyskinesia.

Bob Harper Interview

Celebrity fitness trainer, star of NBC’s “The Biggest Loser” and best-selling author, Bob Harper, had a near-fatal heart attack at the gym almost one year ago. This February to kick off American Heart Month, he marked one year on his road to recovery by launching a program with AstraZeneca for other heart attack survivors called Survivors Have Heart. This is in addition to recently releasing a popular new diet book you may have seen, titled The Super Carb Diet, which also gives a nod to his heart health.
